Sunday, January 18, 2015 - Lots of browning at the edges here, and the color is a pale crimson--age definitely showing on this bottle. Aromas of leather, tar and black fruits. Medium bodied, still some fruit here though fading, lots of tertiary elements here: meat, leather & earth. Nothing particularly jumps out at me here, but it's a very pleasant, well-balanced, nice example of an aged Hermitage. Drink up sooner rather than later, and no need to decant from what I can tell from this bottle.
