Tuesday, April 15, 2014 - At the winery. Double decanted 2h ahead. This is a fieldblend of 70% Zinfandel and 19% Carignan and it's nowhere near as jammy or overdone as other Zins I have tasted. The aromas are full of fruit (black cherries), almost sweet but not overoaked in any way. The taste is fruity, pure and with ripe tannins. The mouthfeel is deceptively light despite the 14,5% alcohol. A great Zinfandel!
