90 Points

Saturday, November 28, 2015 - Opaque garnet color turning murky crimson at the rim with a transparent edge. The nose is perfumed with red berries, rose petals, earth, shoe leather, and newly opened can of tennis balls. The palate is remarkably full-bodied and still grainy in texture. Flavors of dark raspberry, red currant, tobacco, black tea, all spice, dill, olive, and rich, toasted Paso Robles earth. Finishes long with a hint of scorched orange peel and sweet, dusty tannin. Quite remarkable for Justin Isosceles to have reached this far, but it's all downhill from here. Still quite enjoyable at 19 years old, but needs time to keep upright for sediments to settle. Otherwise, you'll have to throw 1/4 of the contents away. Drink now.
