Saturday, January 3, 2015 - Opened this wine for a gathering with close friends tonight at home.

Wine was golden in colour, with pungent notes of oil on the nose upon opening. After half an hour of decanting, the wine opened up. Nutty notes plus caramel and popcorn and some dried herbs, followed by some buttery and cream on the palate. A hint of bitterness in the finish.

We paired this with salad, ham, sashimi and sushi.
