Saturday, December 21, 2013 - Bright berries and warm oak smells fill the nose. Deeper sniffing draws out a pronounced stony aroma, but also a somewhat green and twiggy note. The palate is smooth, with rich, ripe blackberry flavors and a hint of pepper and nutmeg. In total this is interesting enough and drinks pleasantly; at a low-teens price point it represents compelling value and would be a good option for larger parties. Drinking well now, no need to wait.
