Maybe 87...price is great at 15 CAN, new product in a line of about 6 other Prosecco's i can get at Provincial wine store. Process is my general go to sparkling wine for value, and this one does deliver, but after some thought, perhaps not quite up to the others...FYI - the package is a little over the top with very ornate bottle (for those who pay attention to marketing strategy), but down to earth on the palate! Nose is light with non-discript grapefruit/citrus note. Palate has nice sharp frizz ante quality and acid. Fruit is again per nose, a little hard to pin down, vaguely bitter grapefruit with rapid transition to citrus notes. Nice on a hot, almost Fall day, while BBQ'ing simple fare...give this a try beside another Prosecco and see what you think.
Better yet, during this last week or so of summer, go for a Prosecco tasting on patio with friend and explore sparkling wine from the old school experts, affordable and fun!

Low priced CB from Kenaston Wine Market. Gave this a try as i have recently had chance to sample a variety of CB's from South Africa as i was in the area! This is a decent example, med+ bodied, light acid and dense fruit that is a little spicy, with stewed fruit/apple notes. A little tight on the taste profile, but enjoyable. Maybe try again in 2016.

New from Opimian...2 yrs old and drinks pretty decent now. A little smokey nose with brambly fruit...Palate is med bodied and med acid - fruit is again a little musty, tobacco with dark fruit. Medium finish that carries over the acid and a tad bitter note on the fruit.
Would be curious to see this age 1-2 yrs. Price is low and good QPR.
