Saturday, October 3, 2020 - Set the bottle out at room temp at 3pm. Opened the bottle at 5pm. Poured into a decanter at 6:30pm. Served with dinner at 7:15pm.

The nose was beautiful with fruit, leather, herbs and minerals. Cherry and berries on the palate as a first impression with slight acidity. Tannin appeared to be fully integrated and as the wine rolled on the palate it became silky smooth. The finish was substantial and long.

This wine was perfect with our Veal Rib chops done medium rare, roasted mushrooms and herb enhanced baby potatoes.

This wine appeared to be at it fullest right now. Next time I think I will decant less and see if it shows longer staying power!
