Monday, August 10, 2015 - Had a 2-day blind tasting pitting this against Syrahs from Eric Kent and K Cellars, and the Nuts and Bolts emerged as the clear surprise winner. As others have said, it's big and complex and not for the faint of heart, and next to it the others were boring, even on the second day. I had a second bottle on its own more recently and was again impressed by the intensity of the favors and the balance of fruit and savory notes. This is just terrific wine.
