Aromas remain masculine and bold showing notes of camp smoke, grilled meats, blackberry reduction, black licorice, violet pastilles, lavender, blueberry cobbler with vanilla ice cream, pepper, cola, clove, nutmeg and hints of caramel, herb, chocolate mint and old car leather.
The palate shows richness and some bit of suaveness. Tannins are resolved and still firm and gripping. Acidity is still mouth-watering. Smooth textures and a dense mid-palate. Flavors show off cooked blueberry, smashed ripe blackberry, vanilla, violets and lavender, pepper, baking spices, black licorice, grilled meats, smoke and a hint of herbs. The Gripping finish lingers with intensity.
Still showing well, just be sure to decant for sediment.
