Tuesday, May 6, 2014 - Lovely, approachable little wine. Not exactly classic Pinot Gris, but I liked it nevertheless. Fairly strong nose, color was darker than expected. On the palate it was soft, and loaded with peach and melon flavors. Moderate finish. Could have used a bit more acidity, but the fruit was so luscious that I can overlook that. Flavors are simple, but deep. There was also a touch - just a touch - of minerality that added to the pleasure of drinking this wine. This wine won numerous awards at various competitions, and I cannot understand the less than laudable reviews. This is good wine. Had to split this with my dining partner, but would have gladly consumed the entire bottle myself.
