92 Points

Tuesday, October 6, 2015 - Ramey Tasting (Woodbury, MN): light medium gold color. Tasting pour over 30 minutes. Lovely, fresh and floral on the nose with lemon, light toast. The palate is ever evolving becoming more sophisticated and complex over time. There's good acid with a brightness to the lemon oil and subtle peach notes, though maybe a bit less acid than the '09 and '11 but holds together nicely. Medium body with meyer lemon, and subtle almond brittle. 91+ to 92pts.

10/6/2015 8:54:00 PM - Thanks for your note and rating. It sounds like you had a very pleasant Ramey tasting...excellent way to spend the day! Curious if you think we should sip our last bottle now or wait a few more years?

10/6/2015 9:28:00 PM - I really like where these are at right now. But I have no problem sitting on these for 3+ years. Depends on what others you have in the wings :) I've got 2 left, and i'll probably drink 1 this winter and the other about a year after. What I really like is the 2009 Hudson, that really rocks right now. And I've got more of those, so i'll try to space them out over the next 3 years.

10/7/2015 4:26:00 AM - Thanks...very much appreciated. We have one more bottle, and we will let her rest peacefully for the next 5 years...quite a few Cali Chards in the cellar of 2010 that we intend to sip side-by-side.
