Thursday, March 21, 2013 - Om the nose, the wine shows sweet blackberry, wild black cherry and spiced apple. Non-fruits includes a strong scent of black licorice, sweet pipe tobacco and Christmas spices. Dense and rich earthy character followed by soy sauce and cinnamon. The palate is bone dry and tart with a tightening sensation that triggers a primitive need for red meat. Same black fruit profile on the palate but finishes pleasantly astringent and dry.
