Sunday, March 20, 2016 - This big, bold, Napa Cabernet has a nose of violets, sweet spices, dark fruit, and dusty earth. It tastes juicy and "fruit bombish" with currents, blackberries, bell pepper, and black licorice. It is mouth coating with good acidity, and has a medium to long length finish with well integrated dusty tannins, Well made and nicely balanced; a real crowd pleaser. [Drank alongside Rodney Strong Rockaway 2008 - The Honig Cabernet tastes sweeter, less complex, and less full bodied than the Rockaway - probably secondary to its lesser vintage.]
