2012 Château de Ségriès Tavel

Community Tasting Note

Sunday, September 13, 2015 - About 18 months since the last time I looked in on this, and I believe this is my last bottle. Darker reddish-pink in the glass; nose is fairly neutral.

On the palate, tangy fruit with some alcohol notes on the finish. Still hanging in there, but I believe I liked it better last year.

One interesting side note - the wine had formed several tartrate crystals on the cork like you sometime get with a white, but these tartrates were colored pink - first time I've ever seen that.

9/14/2015 8:58:00 AM - This actually integrated better with some air - I still think it was probably better a year or so ago, but the alcohol notes I commented on above definitely didn't show as much once the bottle had been open for 30 minutes. Still, probably a wine that should be considered "Drink Up" if you still have any in the cellar.
