Thursday, June 28, 2018 - Pnp cold out of the chiller....dark, dark ruby in the glass with a narrow medium ruby edge. Nose is somewhat restrained with a sweet floral/fruit mix (rose petal/violet?) component. Entry is mid weight on the palate, plenty of dark red berries, smooth integrated tannins with a touch of oak, dark chocolate and some mild menthol at the end. There is some acidity left to cover perhaps another 2 years.

An hour in, with the wine warming to room temp.....a little bit of lead pencil/briar emerges, the red fruit darkens a little more and a very faint oxidative dark plum/raisin emerges. A nice wine but not much depth nor many layers there. Just a tad flat.
