Tuesday, October 21, 2014 - Dark red color. Deep, complex nose, half shut but revealing dark red fruits of ripe cranberry, strawberry and spice. On the palate, it has a beautiful mix of medium plus acid and fresh red fruits, again cranberry and strawberry, pomegranate. Just a lovely combination of power and elegance, leaning towards power. Well integrated spice. Medium plus finish puckers the mouth, finishing slightly dry with the tannins showing their power.

Opened two bottles over two nights. My above note is for the first bottle opened in Huntington Beach the night prior to the Chicago event. I thought that 2nd bottle didn't quite show as well.
