Thursday, January 6, 2022 - Opened the night before.
At first impression the nose was quite burgundian.
Barnyard, roasted cocoa, cassis, autumnal foliage.
The day after the nose was much more fruit forward with still cassis, lush blackberries, preserved cherries, violets and precious woods.
Graphite and tobacco with areation provide a good complexity.
Mouthwatering acidity with fairly good structure even with a very delicate approach. Seamless.
Very fruity on the palate with hints of cocoa, liquorice, tobacco, and a nice minerality and earthiness.
It will improve with 3/4 years but really drinkable and pleasurable at 10 years now.
12.5 % makes it a real velvet, with noble tannins.
Really nice Pauillac but i believe it will develop the Pauillac’s caratheristics with more time.
