Friday, September 30, 2022 - drinking really well right now. meaty, dusty, and mushroomy on the nose with slight notes of red fruit. the palate is consumed with dark chocolate and red cherry. the tannins are integrating but not gone and the acid is still racy. i drank this with a pork chop, and the wine, even at nearly 20 years old, still overpowered the meat. go with a bolder food pairing.
