Wednesday, December 25, 2013 - Decanted for two hours and drank over another two with Christmas prime rib roast dinner. Started out with earth and barnyard aromas with plum and black cherry flavors. Coffee, cedar, cigar, and floral aromas eventually took over. Flavors then dominated by ripened dark fruits. Tannins were very mild. Long finish (45+ seconds) with very distinct notes of raisins, dried herbs and toasted oak.
