Sunday, March 8, 2015 - Second Sunday Group: Produttori del Barbaresco Riservas (L's): Popped & poured. Much darker than the 2001, despite just two years difference in age. More dark fruit than the 2001 as well, with black currant and cassis and perfumed floral overtones. Adds a terrific earthy quality after an hour or so, but remains very pretty with dark fruit and floral tones on the nose and palate. Has plenty of life ahead, but is already very good.
