Sunday, March 4, 2018 - Nose: Knockout nose of violets, cedar, blackberry, blueberry, tobacco and sweet oak. Well integrated and perfumed offering lots of complexity right now. Palate: Enters with dense blackberry and cassis notes, then gets a nice sweet barnyard, graphite, tobacco and floral sense. Well composed showing no heat of the vintage. Finish: Fresh black fruited notes, anise and mint.

I cannot understate how much I have enjoyed this wine and the level of quality it is offering now. A bit forward, but gives such nice nuance now. If you are a CA drinker looking to explore Bordeaux this is a great place to start.
