Saturday, April 12, 2014 - Unscrewed and poured - I would have preferred a cork as I always think of the inside of the screw caps and the plastic film which must be in contact with the wine. But that aside this was a lovely Sauvignon Blanc, more reminiscent of the NZ style with green apples and gooseberry on the nose. The palate was surprisingly rich for a wine which smelt like it had not undergone malo, almost like there is some RS but in a good way which makes it taste more like a German Riesling with some petrol notes. An intriguing wine which was greatly enjoyed by all.
