Monday, August 3, 2020 - Really enjoyed this great expression of Barb. Drank over the course of 2 nights. Night 1 dug in after after a 2 hour decant. Overall consistent with other notes and scores.

Nose is dark sour cherry, baked raspberries, tobacco and leather.

Tannins are firm but really balanced out by the great acidity here. Dark berries and cherries on the palate along with black tea and a great hint of crushed mint/menthol that sticks to my lips. The wine has a touch of sweetness on front palate but then grabs your mid palate in a great way. The finish is awesome. This wine just pops in the mouth - Definitely overdelivered my expectations!
