Tuesday, December 20, 2005 - I was really impressed with this wine. 70% Cab. Sauv. and 30% Merlot, aged for 18 months in French oak. Dark opaque ruby, with violets, plums and blackberries on the nose, which later evolved into more herbal and coffee aromas. On the palate it is smooth and velvety, with serious weight. Drinking beautifully now, the wine had a nice balance, ripeness that isn't over done and a medium finish with sweet tannins. A very fine effort, somewhere between Bordeaux and Tuscany in style.
