Saturday, February 8, 2020 - First of the case. This fill was a bit lower and some run up to the top of the cork on all sides. Medium red/brick red with age showing in the glass. This was expressive on the nose at opening but fairly closed up on the palate for about 2 hours. At 2 hours it started opening up to show dark red fruit and game. The nose and palate were both great but more Northern Rhone than Burgundy - this could be mistaken for a Guigal Cote Rotie. But nonetheless, great fun drinking tonight. Day 2 the rest of the bottle was holding up great, felt a bit more Burgundian, and continued to be great fun to drink. A
