Friday, May 24, 2013 - Dinner in Ocean City, Memorial Day with the family. Paired with a pesto chicken and orzo - probably not the best pairing, but everyone seemed happy...
Met Julien Fayard on a PNV Auction trip a couple years ago when he was working with Phillipe Melka. Great guy from Provence making great wine in California - this wine followed his Rose.
Popped and poured, definitely improved over an hour but doesn't seem to require a big decant, drank great right out of the bottle. Rich purple color. Nose has a little heat, dark red fruits.
I would describe the wine as "fresh", very fruit forward and young. Red and dark fruits, blackberry, tart blueberry. Medium/long finish. Very nice, great QPR
