Sunday, July 21, 2013 - Note is from Night 2: The color is slightly on the darker side in my experience with Oregon Pinot noir. The nose is spice driven with dark berries, oak and hints of sweet tobacco. It's thin and dry on the palate, and not as rich as the color might suggest. That said, it's integrated very well and goes down incredibly smooth. The tannins are light, barely showing at all, and while the acidity is certainly there, it doesn't dominate in any sense. The wine is lean and balanced, and drinking very well right now. I would recommend consuming it with food, perhaps BBQ chicken or anything grilled.
