2003 Tenuta San Guido Sassicaia

Community Tasting Note

92 Points

Friday, October 11, 2013 - Occasional dinner group; Bordeaux 2003 plus some extras.: Lush and creamy bouquet with dark forest fruits. On the palate creamy dark berries, some bell pepper, firm acidity and round tannin with still a good bite and some bitterness in the finish. Excellent wine, but in this stage not extremely impressive. Maybe around 2016 or 2017+? 92+ for tonight.

3/4/2016 5:18:00 PM - Indeed Harley, but this note dates back from 2013 and I did not taste the wine since, so I put in CT what I wrote down in 2013. As you may have noticed I am now putting my notes in CT with a “Tasting story”. I also do that with older notes and because of lack of time then, I did not enter all notes in CT yet. Still a lot of older notes to go, but eventually I hope to write as many as possible in CT. Cheers, Z.

    Cheers!
