Thursday, August 22, 2013 - This is a very respectable Pinot for the price. Deep ruby and quite heavily-extracted, it shows dark berry, anise and pickling spice on both the nose and palate. The wine is rich, yet shows nice acidity and well-integrated alcohol (listed as 13.5%). With medium-weight tannins (which are very supple), it remains pleasurable throughout the middle and medium-length finish. Bravo to Byron for providing the consumer with a delightful product at a wonderful price point. Those looking for an attractive quality-to-price ratio should give this one some attention. Drink now-2018.
