Friday, April 13, 2007 - Still plenty of thump in this wine. While there was definitely some honey overtones to the lemony aromatics there was more than enough fruit gusto to carry the day. Round and ripe in the mouth with a baked pear/peach quality to the fruit mixed in with notes of vanilla and honey. The finish had a slight chalkiness to it that definitely detracted from the overall length of the wine. Still a very well composed and emminently drinkable older Puligny.
