Saturday, September 20, 2008 - This wine continues to amaze me. The color is still all there, this really great deep purple showing barely any age around the edges at all. The nose is huge, dominated by all of the rich cabernet juice this wine is made up of. In the mouth this stuff is just really explosive, with blackberries, cherries, dark chocolate, and coffee dominating, with a tad bit of tar thrown in just to round things out. There's plenty of fruit left here for AT LEAST another 4 years, and the rich, chewy tannins might have the strength to carry it well past 2015.
