Monday, September 21, 2015 - Finessed and feminine at first, the 2011 Melbury quickly gained momentum and berth in the glass, as it displayed ripe red fruits with layers of cinnamon spice, cedar box, and candied violet. On the palate, I found silky textures infused with red currant with hints of sweet herbs and minerals. The finish was long, showing ripe cherry offset beautifully by a pulse of vibrant acidity.
