Wednesday, February 10, 2010 - a recent taster caused me to worry enough to see what was going on. cork was fully saturated but extracted intact. youthful color. first glass seemed thin and tired. i feared the worst. exposure to air and a little patience proved to be worthwhile. although the fruit is not as vibrant as it was 5 years ago, it remains a class act. lots of floral notes. the wine continues to build revealing solid structure. still, i don't think that i want to keep this wine more than another year since there is some danger of tannins taking over the fruit.
