Color is only medium light yellow, was expecting perhaps just half a shade darker. Nose tells you it's perhaps a bit past it's peak but definitely still drinkable: some brioche, butter, roasted almonds - more elements I'd associate with a new world Chardonnay (Kistler comes to mind). Finish is a bit uneven, with a bit too much green apple acidity combining with some oak that feels a bit stale/faded and astringent. Still, a fairly nice bottle, especially given the price. But I should've have aged it, clearly it didn't improve.
