Friday, December 30, 2022 - I'm out of my comfort zone with Chablis but am pretty sure that this entry level wine is performing as expected and my observations are in line with previous reviews (old as they are). Color is only medium light yellow, was expecting perhaps just half a shade darker. Nose tells you it's perhaps a bit past it's peak but definitely still drinkable: some brioche, butter, roasted almonds - more elements I'd associate with a new world Chardonnay (Kistler comes to mind). Finish is a bit uneven, with a bit too much green apple acidity combining with some oak that feels a bit stale/faded and astringent. Still, a fairly nice bottle, especially given the price. But I should've have aged it, clearly it didn't improve.
