Thursday, November 19, 2020 - Goldfruit notes on the nose (especially peach) along with light honey qualities. Nearly medium bodied (8% ABV) with soft peach notes upfront, moving from yellow peach to gold. Brings in tropical qualities through the middles (pineapple and orange) as well as some soft yellow melon and light honey notes. Acidity on the backside is enough to provide structure and is assisted by some tart citrus qualities. Fruit shows quite well at present and the true strength of this wine was the overall fruit-acidity balance. The wine may not appear to have high acidity, but the fact that it keep pace with the fruit shows how much there truly is to maintain the balance. Has many years in front of it as the fruit will last a long time. I will probably open my next bottle in June/July 2021 to take advantage of where the acidity is today.
