Friday, December 23, 2022 - Prior bottle was nearly 3 years and nine months ago and my notes were actually very consistent, showing how long-lived this wine will be. White/yellow peach along with strong mango and pineapple on the nose, along with slate/mineral qualities. Medium bodied with white peach and lightly tart white/nearly green melon upfront. Mid-body has opened up ever so slightly since my last bottle with white peach and some hints of yellow peach, mango and pineapple. The tropical notes start to come in through the mid-body, are shut down to an extent by the acidity, but then burn through and gain expression towards the back. The combination of tart notes and acidity with these tropical notes makes for a very pretty mid-body. Citrus notes and acidity on the backside and then white orchard and white tropical notes along white mineral qualities through the finish. As the wine warmed and opened up, it showed more and more complexity. This wine has a lot of years in front of it and I'll certainly be looking for more.
