Sunday, October 12, 2014 - This entry-level Pernot offering shows well above its pedigree. Straw-colored and brimming with lemon zest, white peach, wet stone and floral aromas, it follows with a light-to-medium-bodied, crisply acidic, seamlessly alcoholic (13%) palate with flavors mirroring the nose. The wine is beautifully layered in the middle and (perhaps most impressive) is fresh and long on the finish. This is certainly one of the best quality-to-price ratio wines that an oenophile can procure. Enjoy it over the next 3-4 years. Drink now-2018.
