Friday, December 9, 2011 - At first seemed slightly roasted and past it's prime. With a little airtime the wine opened up and I got expressive, albeit jammy fruit, nice minerals, tar, and leather. Great acid balance and Amarone character. Given the price of the wine, I think it was stellar.
