Saturday, October 14, 2023 - This one is much better than expected. Dark purple on the open and pour starting to turn brick. Black and red cherry, slight jammy on the nose but not the palate. As others have described, long spicy (black pepper) finish. The balance of this wine is excellent. Tannins and structure still there, very well balanced by the fruit/spice flavors. Properly cellared this may have a few more years of value left - but drink now to make sure you do not miss the window. I love Pride wines - and their Merlot is top notch.
