Saturday, February 28, 2015 - La Paulée de New York Grand Tasting (Metropolitan Pavilion - New York NY): Tasting, brief note. One of the tougher wines to assess today. Floral and spice driven start with very powerful and concentrated array of cherry aromas. Also a powerhouse on palate, but with some overt new oak that will need time. I can see that Charles is really attempting to step up the quality of this cuvee and the raw materials in bottle are extremely promised, even if not in perfect harmony today.
