Sunday, December 27, 2020 - Based on other TNs I decided to give this wine plenty of air and see what develops, so I decanted it for 40 minutes. Well, lo and behold, this bottle opened up to be what I knew it had the pedigree to be. It is a bottle from the same lot as my previous bottles, so I'm hard pressed to explain, but...
The nose offered up lots of dark red fruits, along with some lighter red fruits, earth and spice. The medium bodied palate was smooth and balanced, with dark red fruits, earth, a fair amount of spice, and some pepper. The wine can hold for another couple of years, but why wait - Enjoy Now!
