Tuesday, February 16, 2016 - Clear, ruby in color, medium (+) intensity. The nose is clean, medium (+) in intensity, with aromas of black fruits, dried fruits, brewed tea, vanilla, cedar, and leather. The nose is showing much more development than a couple of years ago. The palate is dry, with medium (+) acidity, alcohol and tannins which, although somewhat rounder are still quite noticeable. This wine has evolved very nicely since my 2013 note and is drinking great. It may be at, or close to, its peak and should last for several more years.
