Thursday, April 5, 2012 - Dinner at Colicchio & Sons (NYC): Bricked black. Reticent nose, at first, of tapenade, some smoky anchovy thing, capers, stones, raspberries. Later, a freaking jar of blackberry/boysenberry jam, sweet and gushing fruit. Palate big, very tannic, but with massive reserves of concentrated fruit, too. Kind of a baby! Very full bodied. Pretty long, but tannic there, too. Amazing wine. Epic. A little exhausting like and epic, too. Wow!
