Sunday, November 24, 2019 - Popped and poured. Dark ruby color. Nose of scorched earth, asphalt, black cherry, black plum and some toasty oak coming through. Similar flavors on the palate with a mix of dark, slightly raisined fruit, oak and spice. Some heat coming through on the finish for sure. Good acidity but overwhelmed a bit by the oak and alcohol. Lovers of ripe Cali pinot would probably really dig this because it's a tasty wine but not really for me.
