Saturday, June 27, 2015 - My second bottle of this, and far superior to the first. Opaque crimson, full-bodied, extremely dense and concentrated. Ripe, deep, slightly sweet fig and plum, coffee, red spices, tobacco, earth. Excellent acid and length. Not as strong a Cab Sauv signature as I've seen with other Figeac vintages; I would certainly have guessed Right Bank blind. The tannin is surprisingly well-disguised, but I think this is still more than 10 years before peak.
