Monday, February 13, 2017 - A day after the classy Poliziano Asinone I though that this would be a big let down but it turned out to be a good+ basic Chianti with good colour, well developed and fragrant nose of cherry tinged red fruit with a touch of leather and a refreshing medium+ bodied palate full of fruit, minerals and tangy acidity. As Chianti should, it paired well with meat balls and cannelloni in tomato sauce. Good+ wine with a repeat purchase beckoning.
