Tuesday, May 2, 2017 - At P2 2000 debut with Richard Geoffory Chef de Caves. From magnum: fresh and clean with bright mineral driven precision. Medium bodied tart lemon-lime flavors quickly give way to wet stony minerals and the bristly acidity. Quite regal in a lighter more elegant style with wonderful energy, fruit takes a back seat.

Vintage looked like a disaster, but was saved by a late heat wave. A warm, not hot vintage, created rich wines with ripeness. This took nearly 10 years on the yeast before it opened and showed enough precision to be called Dom Perignon.
