Monday, May 11, 2015 - Still purple to ruby from bowl to rim. Nose was a bit muted despite the decant, though the Lascombes perfume was starting to show even after just 3 and 1/2 years from harvest. But there also was some "unripe green" (akin to celery) in the nose despite the hour decant. When I tasted the wine, it was good but there was a chalkiness in the fruit and more celery that made me regret my rashness in opening it. It also caused me to question the ripeness of the Merlot in this second wine. Time will tell and I think it needs another 5 or 6 years.
