Tuesday, February 11, 2014 - Chardonnay Tweet up in Elgin (Cape Town): fairly intense light yellow colour. Aromas of nut, sea salt, mineral and oatmeal. Fresh and vibrant with oak quite prominent at the moment but works. Classy wine on the palate with more a mineral line, juicy fruit, finishes perhaps a tad short. Plenty of apples and lemons are all cut with vibrant acidity, showing Elgin capabilities. Perhaps a tad drying on the finish for me.
