Tuesday, July 3, 2018 - Nose of sweet dark fruit and some secondary aromas with tobacco, leather, stable which later disappeared. With time some eucalyptus and a spiciness added to the complexity. And after two hours in the decanter sweet chocolate appeared in the long finish. Sweet and smooth tannins, good freshness, good balance, medium++ intensity and concentration. A very good wine which definitely is on the elegant side of what Australian Shiraz has to offer. A lot of new world power (especially in the nose) but not over-ripe, over-extracted at all - very harmonious. That makes this wine a star.

Good right from the start and then consumed over three hours. Gained complexity with some air. Hence, my advice is to give it 2h in the decanter prior to consumption.
